Transformers Amalgam

I rarely draw Transformers, but hey, we need to draw outside the comfort zone sometimes.

DVD Viewing: Angel Season 5

The evil law firm season. The law firm setting is so powerful and becomes its own character within the season. Every member of Angel's team tries to drive good from evil. Spike is introduced to give Angel hell and works so much better than Conner who peeks in just the right amount of time during the season. I don't want to give too much away, but this season rewards you for watching the 4 before it. Nearly every storyline gets touched on as well as every character. Lorne even gets a nice focus during an episode. Joss Whedon goal of reminding his fans why they love each character is highly achieved through the season and this is why Season 5 was Angel at its very best.

DVD Viewing: Angel Season 4

Angel is immersed in dealing with his son Conner all through the season. Conner's struggle to find his place didn't hold my interest. It felt very forced and threw the show into an uneven balance. Wesley's struggles to fully rejoin Angel's team was very well done and helped mold him into a tougher character. Cordelia turning dark is simply uncomfortable, but she will shine again later down the road. Overall, it held my interest and I kept hearing good things for the next season so I watched on through.

DVD Viewing: Angel Season 3

The sketch is of Winifred and its here where she steps forward as a leader within the team as Wesley deals with what to do with where prophecies are pointing. In other words, its a lot of events in one season. Angel is to be a father which was completely left field, but the writers worked it out. It has a great flow from season 2 and sets everything up for a rocky season 4. In my opinion, it closed a few stories from season 2 and planted for season 4. Anything to do with the birth before and after just sent Angel's character in circles.

DVD Viewing: Angel Season 2

Season 2 of Angel was really well done. The sets, make-up and overall look of the show took a big leap. Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) becomes a really strong character through the season and we're introduced to Charles Gunn. Gunn is a bit hard to watch during this season, but his character grew on me like a weed in later episodes. The dark side gets a huge boost from the character Darla played by Julie M. Benz. She thrusts Angel into some difficult situations through the season and Julie's acting in the role is excellent. The writing and settings pushed towards fantasy this season and resulted in a lot of quality creative viewing.

DVD Viewing: Angel Season 1

I recently finished watching all seasons of Angel and wanted touch on each one. First of all, the whole series comes recommended. If you've never watched the show, your going to see the early episodes are a bit dated, but forgive it because the writing is not. The character building between Angel and Cordelia Chase kept me coming back for more. This relationship really pays off in later seasons. Wesley Wyndam-Pryce starts out a bit annoying, but be patient, his character gets a lot better down the road. Setting plays a key part in this series and the story behind Cordelia's apartment sets up a lot of great creative extras for later seasons. If you finish the season with good feelings or better, do continue because Season 2 makes some great leaps which I'll cover soon in another entry.

Demon Pups from Dethklok

Metalocalypse is easily one of the funniest Adult Cartoons out there. The fun is more in making fun of metal bands. If you were ever into one or more metal bands growing up this show is for you. The more you know about metal, the more Easter eggs you will find. The band itself is known as Dethklok. Here I imagined them doing a PSA for Demon Puppy adoption.
